Senator Biden, you sir are Class ‘A’ Moron.

I hate seeing people who say whatever it takes to get THEM what THEY want.  Let us examine a few of Mr. Biden’s latest ideas, comments and bold pronouncements.

Sen. Joseph Biden has said paying higher taxes is a matter of patriotism as he recently defended Sen. Barack Obama’s plan to raise taxes on higher incomes, saying: “It’s time to be patriotic … time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to get America out of the rut.”

Senator Biden, do you not realize that the people who have jobs can attribute that directly to the people you’re bashing?  The very people you consider unpatriotic because they have made money in their lives by producing products and jobs in our country, are the reason we can collect taxes.  Further they top 15% pay almost 50% of the collected taxes…AND still run business’ and produce jobs.

Senator Biden now offered a religious basis for his fiscally irresponsible, tax raising ideas. The senator told a group of union workers last week: “Catholic social doctrine as I was taught is: You take care of people who need help the most.”  Gosh that sounds all sweet and nice.

True, the New Testament teaches that we are to help the poor but also teaches that God’s people will not be beggars.  Let me provide an actual Biblical quotation for my position Senator.

2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.  (11) For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a lazy manner, not working at all, but are busybodies.  (12) Now those who are such, we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.

But we are to help those in need, not those who have decided to sit on their butts and let people give them what they THINK they deserve or what Reverend J. Wright tells them they deserve.  I’m glad Senator Biden thinks people should get off their butts and give MORE though since that is the “patriotic” thing to do.  I’m sure a man making those accusations has a history of digging deep.

Many Catholics, evangelicals, and non-Christians alike dig deep into their own pockets to fund non-profit organizations doing effective work on local levels. Others look to the government to dole out help to people in need. Some embrace a mixture of both.  But wait, Senator Biden’s personal tax records indicate the senator may rely heavily on government-based solutions because the record shows Senator Biden and his wife have reported contributing on average about $380 to charity annually over a 10 year period—about 0.2 percent of their income.

Senator Biden, you are a hypocrite and a liar with no Biblical knowledge and a gaping hole where your Common Sense should reside.  Be gone with you and never darken our door with your wasteful breath again.  I have had enough of these blow hards.

Let Common Sense Lead!

Stupid Statement of the week goes to….

“Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus, Pontius Pilate was a governor.”

And who can we credit with this absolutely insane example of stupid people being able to speak?  None other than an elected official, yeah, I know…surprised right?

Typical of loony leftists defending Obama was Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen, who as a white Jewish candidate in a majority African-American Memphis district, fought an ugly campaign to eke out re-nomination.

Lets all stand and applaud Mr. Idiot.  Yes you Congressman Steve Cohen are an idiot and personally insulting to Jesus and those who actually try to live by what He taught.

Google, Abortion, and the good old US of A

It’s not often that I see something in the news that makes me think that a liberal (possibly communist company like Google does the right thing. Fortunately (I think), this is a good for us, bad for you example. For quite some time, Google ads have generated a ton of money for their company by placing advertisements next to the items that are searched for. For instance, if you were to go to Google.com and search for “fish tank” you’ll likely get something like this:

It’s based on your location by your IP address and they can find regional and specific things for what you’re searching for. It’s a great idea and it works very well. You can give people what they are looking for and, for a fee, you can make sure that your paid sponsors are able to keep their content on top. This is how it works for them throughout the world on each of their many varied servers. See how it works in the UK?

Unfortunately, Google doesn’t really stick to that practice when it comes to things that they have problems with. Abortion, for example. What happens when you want to put a notice up about support for those who have had abortions or for people who are in trouble and seeking help? Apparently, if you’re in the UK, you’re screwed! Google is now getting sued in by a non-profit Christian group in the UK because they refused to place their ads, using the same process detailed above, next to the results on the word “abortion”. The Daily Mail is carrying this story and it looks like a standard “you’re not giving me what I want so I’m going to sue you” case but on further investigation there’s a lot more behind this.

The Christian Institute, a “non-denominational Christian charity”, wanted to pay Google so that whenever the word “abortion” was typed into the popular search engine, its link would appear on the side of the screen. The link would have read: “UK abortion law - news and views on abortion from the Christian Institute. www.christian.org.uk.”

But Google refused the advert because it said it had a policy of declining sites which mixed the issue of abortion with religious views.

Its Dublin-based advertising team replied: “At this time, Google policy does not permit the advertisement of websites that contain ‘abortion and religion-related content’.”

Google does, however, accept adverts for abortion clinics, secular pro-abortion sites and secularist sites which attack religion.

~ Daily Mail :: Emphasis mine

That’s when I decided to see what they meant by “Google does, however, accept adverts for abortion clinics, secular pro-abortion sites and secularist sites which attack religion” so did a little digging and here’s what I came up with:

Googling “Abortion” in the US I get the following:

It’s fair and balanced; one site to help those who are searching and the other is an abomination from hell.

Now, in the UK:

… huh? A provider, a financier, and a link to feed your lust? Remember, these aren’t RANDOM - you have to PAY for each item you are searched under. Someone actually PAID MONEY to have their company show up for CASH LOANS when you’re looking for ABORTIONS! Worse is the sick freak who thought people were looking to get off on abortions. What kind of people live in the UK?

Next, I thought I’d give it a go at searching “religion”. Here it is in the good old US of A:

This actually warms my heart. I didn’t think I’d see this at all. All in all I’m very pleased!

Here’s the result for the UK:

Y’all are off my “visit” list. Seriously. Buy “religion”? “Scientology”? To quote great preacher on a completely unrelated topic, “Are you kidding me?”

After reading this, there are a couple things that come to mind. First is that, as Christians we know that we are only promised persecution and troubles if are sold out to Christ and that our gain comes in the life to come but the other thing that I think about is that the UK is often leading us by only a short scale in public policy. If this passes as acceptable for them, how long before it passes here? Are we only one bill away? If Google won’t post the picture, I will. Here you go, Christian Institute and keep fighting the good fight!

God bless America. Not as a song title or an idea but as a real command. God has given a lot for us thus far, why can’t we acknowledge that and turn back to Him?

Religion Makes You Fail At Life

Well that’s what some in a Wisconsin school would have you believe. Full Story

According to the lawsuit, the student’s art teacher asked his class in February to draw landscapes. The student, a senior identified in the lawsuit by the initials A.P., added a cross and the words “John 3:16 A sign of love” in his drawing.

His teacher, Julie Millin, asked him to remove the reference to the Bible, saying students were making remarks about it. He refused, and she gave him a zero on the project.

Millin showed the student a policy for the class that prohibited any violence, blood, sexual connotations or religious beliefs in artwork. The lawsuit claims Millin told the boy he had signed away his constitutional rights when he signed the policy at the beginning of the semester.

The boy tore the policy up in front of Millin, who kicked him out of class. Later that day, assistant principal Cale Jackson told the boy his religious expression infringed on other students’ rights.

So at what point to “religious individuals” get to have rights. It would appear to me(under the guise of common sense) that is was the boy who was told to alter his artwork had his rights infringed. Why are his rights of expression any less valuable than the rights the others students have?

I applaud the young man for his courage and fortitude. I especially love that he tore the policy letter up in front of the teacher.

We need to stand up for our Constitutional Rights and stop letting this P.C. world tear us down.

So I say down with the P.C. and up with C.S.

Who’s with me?

The Reverend He-She

I’m not sure what common sense thought can be taken from this. There might not be any common sense involved at all. I’ll let you decide.

Methodist Council Allows Transgendered Minister to Keep Job

BERKELEY, Calif. —  A council of the United Methodist Church has decided to allow a transgender minister to retain his job, but it stopped short of addressing whether a change of gender violates the denomination’s rules.

At a session over the weekend in San Francisco, the United Methodist Judicial Council considered whether to remove the Rev. Drew Phoenix from his post. The council allowed Phoenix to stay on the job, referring to a church policy stating that a clergyperson in good standing can’t be terminated unless there has been administrative or judicial action, according to the ruling, posted on the church’s Web site.

“The adjective placed in front of the noun ‘clergyperson’ does not matter,” the council ruled. “What matters is that clergypersons, once ordained and admitted to membership in full connection, cannot have that standing changed without being accorded fair process.”

In a related ruling, the council said all name changes should be treated the same regardless of the reason.

Phoenix, who learned of the ruling Tuesday, said he was “happily surprised.”

Before undergoing surgery and hormone therapy, Phoenix spent five years as minister at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Baltimore as the Rev. Ann Gordon.

Phoenix was reappointed this spring by Bishop John Schol of the Methodists’ Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference, who noted that the denomination’s Book of Discipline said nothing about transgender clergy.

The United Methodist Church bars appointing “practicing” gay clergy and does not support same-sex unions. The issue of whether the church can have a transgender minister may yet be addressed by the church’s legislative body, which meets next spring in Fort Worth, Texas.

Phoenix said he has sometimes been discouraged by negative reaction to his status but thinks that staying on the job is a way to change minds.

“I’ve always been hopeful that the church will open its doors more and be more inclusive of the community, and I believe that happens when those of us that are in that community just keep showing up,” he said.

The judicial council met without its president, surgeon general nominee James Holsinger.

Holsinger, a Kentucky doctor who has been criticized by gay rights groups for such things as a 1991 paper in which he says gay sex was unnatural and unhealthy, bowed out of the meeting, saying his nomination could become a distraction.

I’m really at a loss for words…
