Fired For Being A Hero

Back in March a guy named [1] Mark Beverly was fired from his job at a gas station convenience store because he stepped in to protect his co-worker from what he saw as a possible attacker.
The company he worked for said that he broke company policy by getting involved in the situation.
So I guess the saying that, “No good deed goes unpunished” is sometimes very true. On top of this problem the man has been denied unemployment because he was fired due to breaking a company policy.
I for one applaud the man for doing the right thing and I hope someone else in his community sees what he did as a good characteristic trait and hires him because of that.
Sometimes Common Sense means going against the system.
