I guess now GM will be known as GM but it will stand for something entirely different…
Government Motors
* Treasury will provide $30.1 billion of debtor-in-possession financing to support GM through an accelerated Chapter 11 process. Officials anticipate no additional funding for GM. “There is no plan of any kind for future support beyond this point,” an official said.
More money will be needed and we the taxpayers will be forced to oblige.
* The new GM will, as part of the government-supervised restructuring, build a new small car in an idled UAW factory. The goal is to increase the share of U.S. production for U.S. sale from 66 percent currently to 70 percent.
This is what the government wants all of us driving. I’ll stick with my nice big SUV!
* The government will only vote on core governance issues, including the selection of a company’s board of directors and major corporate events or transactions.
I doubt it will remain this way. The government never takes a hands-off approach where they see money involved.
It makes me glad I own all Fords and will continue to do so!

Perez Hilton is a bigot. Yes, I did just say that the openly homosexual, talking head from Hollywood who makes his living insulting stars, is an open bigot. I will let you be the judge but you can see from the linked article that he has openly professed himself as a bigot.
LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton may have been crowned Miss USA 2009 on Sunday, but on Monday, it was Miss California Carrie Prejean’s answer to a question about same-sex marriage from celebrity blogger and pageant judge Perez Hilton that was the night’s biggest story.
During the show, Perez asked Carrie, “Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?”
“Well I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. Um, we live in a land that you can choose same sex marriage or opposite marriage and, you know what, in my country and in, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman,” Carrie said to a mix of boos and applause. “No offense to anybody out there. But that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think that it should be between a man and a woman.”
Carrie’s answer to the hot button question cost her the crown - at least according to Perez. “The way miss California answered her question lost her the crown, without a doubt!” Perez told Access Hollywood after the pageant. “Never before that I’m aware of has a contestant been booed at Miss USA.”
First, why is this guy a judge at the Miss America Pageant? What qualifies him for this particular role?
Second, the dictionary defines a “Bigot” as: One who is strongly partial to one’s own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.
Now judging only on what his response was, as to why he obviously blocked Miss California from winning, Perez Hilton is a bigot.
Gay marriage has been a hot button topic for many years and for him to put it to these contestants, like he is questioning a politician, was in poor taste. Most of the questions are stupid but Preze counts on shock value to keep him in a job and this was nothing more than that.
Educate yourself Perez. Every time gay marriage has gone on a ballot in states across this country it has been OVERWHELMINGLY voted down. It has never been close, it loses by a landslide. Why? The American people, as a collective, are not ready for that. It has only passed when the local government decides they must do what they think is right…and no homosexual activist groups call them bigots. And in doing so the local governments have stripped “The People” of their rights.
We have fought two wars over the fact a government was stripping “The People” of their rights, first the Revolutionary, then the Civil War. Once for taxation without representation, then…well federal taxation of states without representation. When you look around I guess we are there again huh?
I don’t care if they allow gay marriage, the reason being my bond with my wife is between me and God. The legal papers we filed with the state were only because the local laws of the land required it, not because God does. I obey God’s rules on marriage and obey the law of the land unless it directs me to disobey God.
You should be ashamed for doing to that young lady what you CLAIM is done to you and those who choose to live the lifestyle you choose to live. Forcing your opinion down everyone’s throat and calling yourself a victim at the same time. You are a pitiful excuse for a man.
The People of America have voted time and time again, and your position has lost. Accept it and move along. There is no reason the vocal minority should have more say than the silent majority. That is just common sense, but today it seems not to be very common.

When I hears this on the news this morning I have to admit I was a little shocked. This is a terrible comment for a President to make and I’m sure he’s regretting it now.
I guess President Obama really needs to take his Teleprompter with him everywhere he goes!
